Clonakilty Waste and Recycling Centre is a civic amenity site run by Cork County Council. It is located in Clogheen Industrial Estate on the western side of Clonakilty.  It is open Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 4.30pm and Saturdays from 9.00am to 12.30pm.

At present, the following items are accepted free of charge from householders for recycling:

British visitors holding a current national health card or E111 are entitled to emergency medical treatment. Other EU visitors with an E111 are also entitled to emergency medical treatment. Non-EU visitors will be charged and given a receipt which they may be able to claim back against their own national health or medical insurance as appropriate.
